1. Tiles Flooring

There are several types of tiles used for residential and commercial applications. Tiles provide one of the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly flooring choices. Tiles are made from natural clay and often from other (recycled) materials. Tile manufacturing does not necessitate the use of heavy chemicals or other harmful substances used to make other flooring types. There are no trees to be cut down as with hardwood floors, and the best part is that tiles are durable and have a long lifespan.

Marble inspired tiles are better than even real thing! Marble has been always best choice for luxurious appealing look. Marble is available in many grades and shades depending upon the price tag. You cannot say that all marble floor tile amazing and better than real material. It completely depends upon the designer and the home owner who really want to turn normal floor into upgraded and luxury floor using marble floor tile.

Different types of marble will bring different looks to a foyer, hallway, bathroom, or any room where it is present – and there are thousands of different types of marble in nearly every color imaginable. With hues in black, brown, green, red, white and even pink, there’s no doubt homeowners can find the right marble for their home.

4. Painted Flooring

If you’re looking for that cozy “cottage look,” you might want to consider a painted or “whitewashed” floor. This is a good do-it-yourself project if you have a power saw, a measuring tape, and any experience at all.

Buy unfinished tongue-and-groove planks in a cheap flooring like pine. Once the floor is down, you can paint flooring to look whitewashed by using a latex paint that has been thinned with water. Of course, you can also paint the floor a color, and using a tough paint will make the floor more durable. You can also get creative and stencil the painted floor to match bedroom decor. This type of flooring works best in a bedroom where it won’t be exposed to water, and where it won’t get so much floor traffic. This cheap flooring is attractive, easy to clean, and softer than a hardwood floor. A coat of polyurethane will add a protective layer to your painted floor.

5. Irregular Slate Flooring

This is a beautiful type of flooring that looks great in rustic cabins. The natural slate comes in shades of grays and browns.

It’s tough and extremely durable, but it’s somewhat difficult to lay. It’s also very cold and unforgiving. If you don’t hire a flooring contractor with stone floor experience, you’ll end up with a very uneven floor that’s difficult to navigate. From our experience, a slate floor is a medium-priced option.
